There are plenty of reasons to hike in the Graveyard Fields area of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and magnificent views is just one of them.

Sunday we hiked to Shining Rock in Pisgah National Forest, following the Art Loeb trail at times. The actual bright white quartz of Shining Rock reminded me of spring snow melt in the Rockies. Grab your
hiking boots, pack a lunch, and go check it out!
